Susanne Zappavigna

Susanne T. Zappavigna (neeMitrano), age 72 of Manahawkin,NJ, passed away on December 1, 2019.

Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived in New Rochelle, NY prior to Manahawkin, where she resided for the last 43 years. Prior to her retirement, Susanne worked as a Special Needs Assistant for the Stafford Township School District, Manahawkin, NJ. Above all, she was devoted to all her family and friends.

Susanne is survived by her loving husband, Frank L. Zappavigna, her son, Frank L. Zappavigna Jr., her daughter, Suzanne Wilkinson & her husband Jeff, her four grandchildren; Jeffrey Jr., Nicholas, Joseph, and Michael Wilkinson, her brothers; Joseph Mitrano & his wife Sheila, Nicholas Mitrano III & his wife Janis, and Gary Mitrano & his wife Karyn, her sisters; Patricia Luth & her husband Matthew, and Tanyia Summa & her husband David, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph & Patricia Zappavigna, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marisa & Michael Calamari, as well as many loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 2pmto 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, December 5, 11am at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 283 Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ.
