James Edward Nadeau, “Jim”, 74, passed away on Wednesday October 10, 2019 in Kissimmee, FL.

Jim was born and raised in New Jersey on January 14, 1945. His career Journey began with the International Union of Operating Engineers. Later his career moved into driving over the road for FedEx and then began his own successful trucking business Nadeau trucking for many years before retiring. Jim had a huge heart for helping others and spent his free time as a volunteer fire fighter with the Bayville Fire Company in his early years. His dedication for helping others moved him to join the Loyal Order of the Moose Organization where he moved up in the ranks of leadership holding every office including Administrator, Governor, as well as receiving many awards including Director’s Circle of Distinction 3 times and the great honor of the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 2019. Jim spent his free time riding his beloved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, visiting family and traveling.

Preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Dorothy, and his brother William and his sister Peggy.

He is survived by his loving wife Anita of 37 years, his daughters Tammy, Beverly, Patricia, Cynthia and his sons Alan, Eugene, Brian, his 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. His brother Richard, and his sisters Alice, Jeanne and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 11am to 2pm with a Fireman's service by the Bayville Fire Company, 1:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Condolences may be sent in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations towards medical care. Please contact Cynthia Hauge with any questions.
