James Demarco

James B. DeMarco, age 88, passed away on August 7, 2022.

Born in Neptune,NJ, he lived in Asbury Park and Lyndhurst, NJ for most of his youth. He raised his family in Neptune and lived in Howell, NJ for many years before moving to Manahawkin for the the last 20 years. He was a mechanic by trade and owned several service stations in the shore area.

He is predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Marie Rose (Esposito.)

James is survived by his four children; James R. DeMarco and his wife Maria of Howell, NJ, Michael DeMarco and his wife Debby of Lakeside, CA, Dena Peregrin and her husband Charles of Manahawkin, NJ, and Donald DeMarco and his wife Karin of Howell, NJ, his eight grandchildren; Christina and her husband Marty Schmidt, Mary and her husband Brian Speidel, Alissa and her husband Edi Barrera, Erica Zaccone, Michael DeMarco, Danielle DeMarco, Jordan DeMarco and Jenna DeMarco, his four great grandchildren; Daniel Schmidt, Sara Schmidt, Kaylee Speidel, and Vittoria Barrera, his three sisters; Rose Lemma of Barnegat, NJ, Marie Ferinde and her husband Phil of Manahawkin, Claire Gutkowksi of Manahawkin, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered by all as a wonderful husband and father, an outgoing and friendly guy, who loved his extended family and a strong willed, good spirited man.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 3pm to 7pm with a blessing service at 6:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Cremation will be private.
