George Macconnell

George T. MacConnell, age 89, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully October 19, 2019 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, with his loving family by his side.

George was born in Philadelphia, PA to Robert and Ethel (nee Lukens) on May 1, 1930. Most of his career was spent with Cummins Diesel.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies.  He loved the great outdoors and taking care of his stray animals.

George is survived by his children Constance Roth (the late Jack), George T. MacConnell, Jr. (Maggie), James (Sherre) Diane (Gary).  Also survived by nine grandchildren, Jaimie, Kelly, Katie, Shannon, Jenny, Kristen, Steven, Amanda and Rachel.  Also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

Services with military honors will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ at 11:00am.
