Thomas W. Serpico

Thomas W. Serpico, age 71, of Barnegat, NJ passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his home.

Born May 24, 1954 in Camden, NJ, Tom lived in Manahawkin, NJ prior to Barnegat where he resided for the last 3 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by AT&T as a Senior Software Project Manager where he worked for 31 years. He also was a former broker for Merrill Lynch and was a history teacher and coach at Southern Regional High School and Point Pleasant Borough Schools.

Tom was very involved in playing and coaching sports and serving his community. He played basketball at Southern Regional High School and was entered into the Southern Regional High School Hall of Fame. He was a coach for the Stafford Recreational Basketball League and the Stafford Little League. He was a past member of the Southern Regional Board of Education where he served for a period of 12 years. He was also a past member of the Rotary Club of Long Beach Island. His many interests included playing bass guitar, an avid surfer, softball, golf, pickleball and basketball. He loved music, especially the Beatles, and supported all the Philadelphia sport teams.

He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ellen (Mannix) Serpico, and his sister Susie Serpico.

Tom is survived by his wife Susan M. (Batters) Serpico, his daughter Michelle Serpico Winston & her husband Jake, his son Christopher Serpico & his wife Lindsay, his sister Theresa Serpico Foley & her husband John, his brother Timothy Serpico & his wife Joan, his grandchildren, Bennett & Naomi, and his many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 3pm until his blessing service, 5:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
