Thomas B. Kobin, Sr.

Thomas B. Kobin, Sr., age 69, of Manahawkin, NJ, formerly of Point Pleasant, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, December 1, 2023. 

Born in Newark, NJ, he was raised and lived in Point Pleasant, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided for the last 44 years. He worked most of his career as a driver and general manager for All Chemical Transportation, Lakewood NJ prior to his most recent employment, working as an EMT for Hackensack Meridian. Thomas also served as a volunteer for the Point Pleasant Beach First Aid Squad, the Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department and the Stafford Township EMS where he proudly served both communities. He enjoyed vacationing with his family in Cape Hatters NC, and his golfing trips. He also enjoyed his NASCAR and trips to see races. Thomas loved his family, friends and was a loving pet-parent to his two dogs, Teddy and Bentley.

Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Robert J. and Olive V. Kobin (nee Mann), and his four brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Kobin (nee Malloy), three children; Patricia Dellane and her husband Patrick Dellane, Thomas Kobin, and Cynthia McCarthy and her husband Joseph Collins, his three grandchildren; Patrick Dellane Jr, Ryan McCarthy and Madison McCarthy, and his six brothers and sisters. 

Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. His funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, December 7 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 283 Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ.
