Suzanne Lucas

Suzanne Mary Lucas (nee Baker), 77, of Beach Haven West, N.J. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

Suzanne (Sue) was born in Hubbardton, VT and raised in Mechanicville, NY until she met and married Steve Lucas. Sue and Steve were married for 58 years until her passing.

After staying home to raise their 3 children, Sue worked at GE/RCA for 12 years in the accounts payables department. After GE/RCA she worked for TD Bank in customer service for 15 years until her retirement in 2007.

Sue was very personable and could easily bring a smile to relatives and friends, many who knew her as “Sweet Sue”. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings for her children and her 8 grandchildren. Most recently, she was especially happy to spend time with her great-granddaughter, Ava. She also loved gardening at her Beach Haven West home, and, traveling to visit her family in upstate NY.

Sue leaves behind her husband Steve, her children, Lori, Linda and Stephen and their spouses, her 8 grandchildren, her great-granddaughter, her brother Mike and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, January 6, at St. Mary of the Pines, Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ, 10am until her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery in Mays Landing, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to a favorite charity of choice.
