Samuel J. Fattoross

Samuel J. Fattoross, age 91, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his home.

Born July 14, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in East Rutherford prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 1978. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean war. His employment included Maxwell House Coffee, Jersey City, NJ as an Assembly Line Worker.

Sam was a volunteer fire fighter for the East Rutherford Fire Company and a volunteer with the East Rutherford First Aid Squad. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

He is predeceased by his parents; Samuel and Anna (De Maio) Fattoross, his wife, Barbara A. (Nilsen) Fattoross, his three sons, Michael, Anthony & Kevin Fattoross, his two brothers, Arnold and Theodore Fattoross and his sister, Phyliss Schriber.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert Fattoross and Samuel Fattoross Jr. and his wife Joann, his daughter Renata Berger, his four grandchildren, Kayla, Amanda, Heather and Matthew, and his five great grandchildren, Colson, Riley, Aubree, Harlee and Brooklyn.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 9:30am to 11:30am at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A committal service with military honors will follow, 1pm at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
