Ronald “Danny” Sodano, 87 of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Thursday July 2, 2026 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin.
Born in Englewood, NJ he lived in Cliffside Park, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 1977. Before moving to Manahawkin, Danny worked for the family business, Franklin Embroidery in Cliffside Park, NJ. Once relocating to Manahawkin, he worked and retired from the Stafford Township department of Parks and Recreation. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He loved the beach and his four-legged companions, Gizmo and Champ. He was an avid New York football Giants fan.
Ronald is predeceased by his parents, Donato and Philomena Maione Sodano, his wife, of 50 years, Barbara Rebele Sodano, his grandson Anthony Garbacki, his sisters; Mary, Anna and Emily, his brothers; Nunzi, Frank and Nick, his brother-in-law Robert Rebele and sister-in-law Carol Thompson.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa Garbacki and husband Dennis, his son Ronald R. Sodano and wife Cynthia, his sister Louise Worzinski, his grandchildren Dennis and Gregory, his great-grandchildren; Niko, Elina, Jordyn and Charlotte, his brother-in-law George Rebele, his sisters-in-law; Arlene Perro and Cheryl Rosen, and his many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Rd. Manahawkin, NJ 08050. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2026, 11am at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 283 Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
