Robert Peter Martin

Robert Peter Martin, age 80, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center of Manahawkin, NJ. 

Born October 6, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Bayonne, NJ prior to moving to Manahawkin full-time where he has resided for the last 23 years. He served in the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1968.  Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed by PSE&G, Clifton, NJ as a Electrical Technician. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Stafford Township Italian American Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and muscle cars.

Robert is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Josephine (Gardella) Martin. 

He is survived by his wife, Gail L. (Getchell) Martin, his daughter, Dawn Martin-Acocella and her husband David, his son, Robert R. Martin, his sister, Joann Drennan and her husband Jack, his three grandchildren: David, Dana and Daniel, and his 4 Nephews and their spouses.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12pm to 3pm with a blessing service 2:45pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Cremation will be private.
