Robert "Bob" R. Brown

Robert R. “Bob” Brown, age 96, of the Fawn Lakes community of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024 with his family by his side.   

Born January 27, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Waldwick, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided for the last 35 years. He was a graduate of Ramsey High School, Ramsey, NJ. Bob worked as a Manager for Flint Ink Company, Paterson, NJ, Sicpa N.A. Ink Company, Paterson, NJ and prior to his retirement in 1990, he started his own printing company. He was a life-time member of the Manahawkin Elks, a member and former treasurer of the Manahawkin Old Guard, and a long-time life guard at the Fawn Lakes community pool. He also loved to play golf. 

Bob is predeceased by his wife, Carmela F. Sassano in 2009.  

He is survived by his son, Robert W. Brown and his wife Carol, his daughter, Patricia Kramer and her husband Gerard, and his son, Michael K. Brown and his wife Catherine, his 10 grandchildren; Keri Harvey and her husband Shane, Kyle Brown and his wife Katie, Brendan Brown, Thomas "TJ” Kramer, Meghan Calleo and her husband James, James Kramer and his wife Eileen, Madeline Kramer and her partner Clay Kane, Robert "Bobby" Kramer, Michael Brown and his wife Mary, and Daniel Brown, and his four great grandchildren; Evan & Blake Harvey, Samuel Brown & Brady Brown.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10am until his and his wife Carmela’s Memorial Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am from St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Placement of both Bob and Carmela’s urn will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Waretown, NJ.
