Patricia Stevens

Patricia M. Stevens (nee Winters), age 67, of Barnegat, formerly of Metuchen, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Pat was born in New Brunswick, NJ and lived most her life in Metuchen where she graduated from Metuchen High School. The last 5 years of her life was spent at Leisure Chateau Long Term Care facility where she courageously battled Huntington’s Disease.

Pat was a huge Yankee fan and Derek Jeter was her favorite player. She wore a Jeter sweatshirt around the house all the time. She also loved watching the Little League World Series every year especially the Championship game. Pat loved vacationing with the family in LBI which we did for a lot of years.  She never missed any of her daughter's sporting events and was a huge cheerleader. All of my 3 daughters friends loved coming to our house because Pat had so many “goodies” that they couldn’t get at home. We have more 4th daughters than we could count.

Later in life she was the happiest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. They all loved their Nana. After a while everyone called her Nana. Even the people in the Nursing Home called her Nana. She had the greatest smile. It was infectious and made everybody else smile and feel good. Enjoy a French Dip sandwich and an Amstel Light beer with the Golden Girls in heaven. We all know you’ll be keeping an eye on all of us.

Pat is predeceased by her brothers, Thomas & Paul Winters. She is survived by her husband, John Stevens, her three daughters; Danielle Albanese & husband Nick, Carey Palmer & husband Dennis and Megan Palmer & husband Kevin, and her seven grandchildren; Tyler, Meadow, Summer, Shane, Lucas, Kenny & Makenzie.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will be held 9:30am on Thursday, September 1 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, E. Edgar Road, Linden, NJ.
