Oswin D. Kline, II

Oswin Daniel Kline the Second (Sport to most) Uncle OZ to many, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a wonderful 92 years of living his best. Ozzie was born at home in Pennsauken, NJ a little less peacefully then when he passed, I'd imagine. He Graduated from Merchantville High School in 1951 and enlisted in the United States Army shortly after. He defended our great country and others fighting on the front lines in Korea from 1952-1954 earning the rank of Sgt. 1st Class.

He lived in Pennsauken and worked for a printing company in Philadelphia, PA until 1993 when he retired and moved to Harvey Cedars permanently. After his retirement he volunteered with the Barnegat Light First Aid Squad as an ambulance driver for a few years. Sport was a simple yet loving family man. He didn't want to talk politics or religion. He wanted to talk about life preferably with a Coors Lite in hand. He enjoyed fishing, endless projects around the house, his crossword puzzles and watching his Philadelphia sports teams. Ol swivel hips, as they called him, was known to tear up the dance floor on occasion. He knew how to have fun, love vigorously and not take life too seriously. He will be deeply missed and remembered for a long time.

Oswin is survived by his loving wife of 70 years June Richmond, his brother Russell Kline (Jeanne), his sister Elsie Montana, his daughter Suzanne Kline, his grandsons; Mike Zimmerman (Juliet), Jay Zimmerman (Victoria) and the joys of his later years, his great granddaughters; Riley Cole & Paisley June. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins that he loved like his own children. He also had the most wonderful neighbors that checked on him often. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 1pm at the Harvey Cedars Bible Conference Chapel, 12 Cedars Avenue, Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008, with a celebration of life to immediately follow at the Harvey Cedars Firehouse.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barnegat Light First Aid Squad, Harvey Cedars Fire Company or the organization of your choice to honor him.
