Mary T. Ryan

Mary T. Ryan (nee Sweeney), age 93, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Born January 31, 1932 in Bronx, NY, Mary lived in Hoboken, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided since 1960. She married. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Stafford Township Elementary School as a Cook. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and lovingly served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Bridget Sweeney (nee Russell), her husband John P. Ryan, her brother William Sweeney, and her two sisters, Catherine Striano and Helen Chichizola.

She is survived by her son Michael Ryan & his partner Claudia Cardinali, her two grandchildren, Erin & Gavin, and her many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am on Monday, April 28 at St. Mary's Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin.
