Marie J. Salerno

Marie J. Salerno, age 88, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Born June 10, 1936 in Utica, NY, she lived in Mooretown, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided for the last 46 years. Marie proudly served her country in the United States Navy during the Korean war. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by General Electric Company, Moorestown, NJ as a Cost Analyst. Marie was very active in the social activities of her community at Perry’s Lake for many years. She was a meticulous gardener and in her younger years, she loved boating.

She is predeceased by her spouse, Patricia Verdone in 2019 and her brother Anthony Salerno.

Marie is survived by her longtime friends, whom she considered her family: Janet Bazner and Carole Infante, as well as her many other extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00am until her Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00am at St. Francis Of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 283 Beachview Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
