Lois Schultz

Lois Schultz (née Scharnikow) 82, long time resident of Manahawkin, formally of Hillsdale NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29th. Lois’ illustrious career started with New Jersey Bell where she held many positions retiring in 1985. She held her real estate license selling for Sam Lefrak at Newport City, Jersey City. She was court administrator in Hillsdale, Bergenfield, Alpine and Waretown and former councilwoman of Hillsdale.

Lois had a zest for life and adopted many friends and relatives into her inner circle. No one was a stranger. She enjoyed her life on the lagoon feeding the ducks and visiting swans. Her dogs, Bently and Barkley were her greatest companions; they will miss her dearly.

Predeceased by her daughter Susan, sons Richard and Christopher and husband Richard. She is survived by her brother William Scharnikow of Binghamton, NY, loving mother of Gary, wife Marilyn, Katie Goldberg, husband Richard and daughters-in-law Meghan and Judy, grandmother of Sara, husband Jamie, Jana, Gary, Emma-Kate, husband Brian, Olivia, Callie, Jake and Jack, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Many thanks to her friends and neighbors for their assistance in keeping Lois going through the good times and bad. You mean a lot to us all and your kindness will not be forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 10am until her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Cremation will be held privately.
