Leroy Johns

LeRoy Johns, 85 of Manahawkin, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Born in Luzerne, PA, he lived in Barnegat of 23 years prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 2003.  He was a Mechanic for Quality Tire & Muffler, Manahawkin as well as working other jobs prior to retirement. He was a hard worker who went the extra mile to provide for his family. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

LeRoy is predeceased by his parents LeRoy and Viola as well as his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Shirley M. Johns (nee Cook), his two sons; LeRoy Johns and his wife Patti and James Johns, his six daughters; Sharon Bokor, Kathy Buck, Linda Johns, Shirley Johns, Vickie Vignali and Darlene Cramer, his eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 9am until his funeral service, 12 noon at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ  08050. Interment will follow at West Creek Cemetery, West Creek.
