Krista Dawn Colby

Krista Dawn Colby (nee Romanczak), age 47, of Beach Haven, NJ passed away suddenly on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Krista was born in Summit NJ, raised in Blairstown NJ, graduated from North Warren Regional High School, and from the University of Delaware. She worked alongside other family members in their restaurant business. Krista was a devoted wife and mother who always advocated for and supported her family as they pursued their dreams. There was no DIY project that she could not tackle and improve as she decorated the family’s home with original designs from window treatments, furniture, and at Christmas, a forest of themed Christmas trees throughout the house. She excelled at entertaining, creating delicious meals and assuring that her guests were indulged. The family had welcomed several dogs into their lives over the years who were all pampered and adored. She supported Comp Animals, a pet rescue organization in Landenberg PA.

Krista is survived by: her parents Joe and Dawn Romanczak, her husband of 23 years Craig Colby, her daughter Emma Colby, her sister Taryn Romanczak, stepson Dylan Colby, stepson Tyler Colby and his wife Annie, their two children Camryn and Cade, her Uncle Kai Baumann, father-in-law William Colby, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Janette Colby, nieces Alyssa Moreno and Lacey Dern.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11:30am to 2pm at The Gables Historic Inn & Restaurant, 212 Centre Street, Beach Haven, NJ 08008.
