Kathryn M. Hutchison

Kathryn M. Hutchison "Kat & Katie" (nee Martin), age 94, of Barnegat, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Kathryn was born December 28, 1930, to Theodore and Madelyn Martin in North Bergen, NJ. Her childhood memories were in Springdale, PA before moving to Wildwood, NJ. She lived in Edison, NJ for 45 years prior to Barnegat where she resided for the last 28 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Barnegat where she was very active in ministering to the local nursing facilities. She would play piano for the residents and being a eucharistic minister, she would bring them holy communion. She enjoyed country line dancing, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she looked forward to going to McDonald's "everyday" for cheeseburgers.

Kathryn is predeceased by Harry Hutchison II in 1997: she met her sweetheart in the high school band and were married for 48 years, and her sisters, Joan Newell and Bonnie Lilliston.

She is survived by her six sons; Robert Hutchison & his wife Karen, Daniel Hutchison, Harry Hutchison III & his wife Mary, Theodore Hutchison, Joseph Hutchison & his wife Laura and Gerard Hutchison, her three daughters; Diane Hurst & her husband John, Kathy Mitchell & her husband Ralph and MaryAnn Lawrence & her husband Doug, her 18 Grandchildren, her 27 Great Grandchildren, and her many loving Nieces and Nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Monday, December 1 at St. Mary's Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08050. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
