Judy Rose Holloway

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Judy Rose Dyer Holloway, age 79, at her home in Mayetta, New Jersey on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was born at home in Staffordville, New Jersey on August 28, 1946, to Elwood and Dorothy Dyer, Sr. She also grew up in Staffordville and attended Southern Regional High School.

Judy attended the Cedar Run Assembly of God Church for many years where she was one of their first Sunday School teachers. She more recently attended the Barnegat Bay Assembly of God Church. She worked at the Stafford Pool and Fitness Center/Tilton Fitness/Ocean Club in Mayetta beginning in 2002. She enjoyed her job with the children for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, shopping, working in her yard, attending church events and eating out at her three favorite places including Olive Garden, Chinese Buffet and McDonalds with dessert at Jeffreeze.

Judy is survived by her husband Clarence (Buzzy) Holloway of 62 years; her children Kim Verdine (Dan), Kelly Holloway-Clark and Jeff Holloway; her brother Denny Dyer (Barbara); her grandchildren Daniel Verdine (Kayla), Katie Verdine, Jonathan Hargis, Jamie Hargis, Thomas Holloway and Kirsten Holloway; her great-grandchildren Rhett Verdine, Adrianah Lowe and Shyla Hargis and many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elwood and Dorothy Dyer, Sr.; her mother-in-law Leona Holloway; her father-in-law Clarence Holloway; her sister Joan (David); her brothers Elwood Dyer, Jr. (Carol) and John Dyer; her son-in-law Mike Clark and her son David Holloway.

Family and friends are invited to Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, New Jersey on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A spiritual service will follow at 12:00 noon with interment after at Reevestown Cemetery in Warren Grove, New Jersey.
