On March 13th, 2024, Jason Barnett, age 48, passed away at his home in Manahawkin, NJ.
Jason was born on October 30th, 1975, and raised in Uniontown, PA before moving to Brick, NJ around the of age of 10, where he attended Brick Memorial High School. Jason married Kelly Fischer in November of 2018. They met at work in 2010 and were inseparable ever since. Their first date was a company Christmas party. Every Sunday they would have brunch at a local Restaurant called Calloway’s in West Creek, NJ where they had their first dinner date with Kelly’s two girls who Jason then considered his own.
Jason loved his dogs Stella and Coal. He loved to go fishing and cooking dinner on the grill. He loved most things outside, such as skateboarding and snowboarding. You would always find Jason eating all the sweets Kelly would bake, and listening to death metal. He was always cracking jokes even if no one understood them. Jason was a quiet man with many words once a conversation was started. His love for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers was unmatched. He was a remarkable tradesman and an even better friend.
Jason is predeceased by his mother, Kathy Hartwick. He is survived by his wife Kelly Barnett, his two daughters, Sarah Fischer (24) and Kylie Lane (17), his father, Bruce Hartwick, and by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his in-laws, nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Jason's life.
