Isaac “Ike” Jennings Johnson, age 87 of Manahawkin, went to the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday September 1, 2016. Born in Beach Arlington, NJ on May 11, 1929, Ike worked as a floor and wall covering installer for Terrace Flooring, Beach Haven Terrace as well as serving St. Francis of Assisi Church before his retirement. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, 1st Marine, during the Korean Conflict.
He is predeceased by his son John Daniel Johnson, his parents Daniel B. Johnson and Martha Stewart, his sister Nora Widman, his brother Daniel B. Johnson, his sister-in-law Joan Stankus, and brother-in-law Nelson Juszczak.
Ike is survived by his loving wife Dolores “Dolly” Juszczak Johnson, who would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on Septemebr 19th, his sister Doris Barnes, his sister-in-law Bea Johnson, his nieces and nephews; Christopher Stankus (Theresa), Sandra Crapanzano (Vinnie), Richard Stankus, Catherine Cruse (John), Theresa Gordon (Jeff), Michael Stankus (Debbie), Lori Parker, Arlinda Crossley (Bob), Rhonda Harper, Ralph Widman (Jan), Ron Widman, Marti Barnes, Timothy Widman, and Denice Joseph, as well as her grandnieces and nephews; Tylerand Kianna Parker, Brooke and Nicloe Gordon, Nicolas and Sophia Stankus, Jonathan and Matthew Cruse, Carson and Austin Stankus, Eric Crossley, Ryan Widman, Haley Hensly and Carter Widman.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm at Maxwell–Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8, 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach. Cremation will be held privately.
