Gary Burruss

Gary Martin Burruss, 72, died peacefully at home on October 5, 2018.  He leaves behind his wife of forty-eight years, Mary, his son, Tuan Burruss Ngo and his grandson, Grayson Burruss Ngo.  He is survived by his brother, Robert Burruss and his wife Susan, his friend and brother-in-law Gary Koshland, his sisters-in-law Anne Dougherty-Koshland and Kate Williams as well as four nieces and three nephews.  He will be missed by his dear friends Sheila Hemm, who never gave up on him, Kassi Mancuso who saw him through his last months and his niece Carla Koshland, who cared for him in his last days.

Gary graduated from LaSalle University and received a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University.  He was a social worker, a boater, a cook, a dog and cat lover, a Harley rider, a husband but most of all he was a father.  He was able to enjoy the successes of his son and know that he was part of those successes.

His cremation will be private with his ashes to be returned to nature at a later date.  A Celebration of His Life will be planned later.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name may be made to Planned Parenthood or the ACLU.
