Gail M. Tumulty

Gail M. Tumulty (nee Nicols), age 80, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Gail had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on her face. She worked as an administrative assistant/assistant to the headmaster in both the public and private school systems. She enjoyed reading, dancing, all things Irish, but above all her she loved her family and being with her grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, Bill Tumulty; her son Tom Tumulty; and her identical twin sister Eileen Nicols Ingrassia.

She is survived by her son, Chuck Tumulty (Jennifer); her son Mike Tumulty (Nancy); her three grandchildren, Thomas, Sullivan and Haylee Tumulty; her brother, Greg Nicols (Susan); her nephew Chris Nicols (Samantha); her sister, Colleen Nicols Murphy (Kieran); her nieces Rian and Cara Murphy; her brother-in-law, Jack Ingrassia; nieces Mary Ingrassia Fiore (John) and Jennifer Ingrassia Desaulniers; her nephew John Ingrassia (Monica); and her nieces Sheila Ryan Pendergast (Bill) and Terry Ryan (Steve).

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, August 27 at St. Mary Of The Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
