Frederick Dreskin, 88, passed away on September 22, 2015.  A long-time resident of Jackson, NJ he was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY and lived there and on Staten Island.  He had lived proudly in all five boroughs of New York City before moving to Matawan, NJ.

He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and later attended New York University College of Engineering.  He worked at Merck, C.E. Lummus, and other firms as a plumbing design engineer.  His projects included buildings at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, NASA’s Vertical Assembly Building, and a Grand Central Terminal upgrade among many others.

He was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan who learned to love the Mets. He loved to travel.

He leaves behind his son David and wife Andrea; his daughter Catherine and her husband Ronald Olender; grandchildren Jessica and Jeanne Dreskin and Chelsea and Curtis Olender; also Eleanor Dreskin who had been his wife of many years; and his pet Kitty, best friend and constant companion.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1pm until his Memorial Service at 3pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
