Frank J. Crowley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Frank was born on March 18, 1927 on Staten Island, NY to the late Frank and Eileen (nee Higgins) Crowley.

Frank was a Navy veteran in WWII and graduated from the University of Illinois (Urbana/ Champaign) in 1950 with a BA in General Engineering. He retired from Singer-Kearfott in 1988 where he worked as a Sales/Marketing manager of Aerospace guidance systems. Frank married Mary A. Buzzi October 20, 1956, lived for a short time in Chicago, and then moved back to Staten Island where they had their two children. In 1963 they moved to Glen Rock, NJ where they lived for 25 years before retiring to Long Beach Island. Frank was very active in the Kiwanis Club of LBI and loved their Christmas project of bringing toys to underprivileged children. He also enjoyed his bi-monthly poker nights with his “buddies”.

He is predeceased by his sisters Adele Crowley Dooney and Barbara Crowley Sandklev.

He is survived by his wife Mary A. (nee Buzzi) Crowley, his daughter Virginia B. Hals and husband David, and son, Frank Crowley; four grandchildren, Laura A. Hals Phillips and husband Jimmy, Madeline C. Hals, Christopher R. Hals, and Madison M. Crowley; his sister, Joanne Brass; and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Maxwell–Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road Manahawkin, NJ 08050.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 7, 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin.
