Erik Strom

Erik Hans Strom Jr., 27, known to his friends as "Yogi" and "Stromie" passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Erik was raised in Manahawkin, a graduate of Southern Regional High School class of 2008. His personality was contagious to the whole community, as well as his laughter that lit up the room.

He is survived by his loving family; his mother Bonnie Smetanka, his step-father Robert Smetanka, his father Erik Strom Sr., his step mother Erin Strom, his sisters; Emily Strom and Brianna Schoeneberg and her husband Darren Schoeneberg, his brothers; Jacob Howard, Mark Smetanka and Robert Smetanka and his wife Sarah Smetanka, his grandparents Carol and Gregg Strom and predeceased grandparents William and Bonnie Dowd, as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loved ones and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a time of remembrance at 5:30 PM at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
