Emil Szpiech

Emil A. Szpiech, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015.

He was born on July 23, 1933 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the son of the late Julius and Tekla (Polevcsak) Szpiech.  Emil resided in Hillside, New Jersey for most of his life and professional career before moving to Manahawkin in 2002.  Emil graduated from Hillside High School and enlisted in the Navy where he served from 1951-1955.  After the Navy he began a career at Bristol Myers working in the accounting offices in Hillside and New York.

He was pre-deceased by his sisters Mary J. Szpiech and Evelyn H. Wisniewski and by his brother Kazimier T. Speck.

He is survived by his beloved brother John Szpiech and wife, Nancy of Cobb Island, Maryland. He is also survived by his nieces, Jo A. Haney of East Boothbay, Maine, and Sharon Speck of Garwood, New Jersey; nephews, Charles R. Wisniewski of Rochdale, Massachusetts; Eric Speck, and Brian Speck. Also surviving are great nieces, Jessica Karg, Haili Hardwick, great nephews David Wisniewski, and  Thom Wisniewski as well as 8 great great nieces and nephews.

Graveside committal and interment and will take place on Friday, July 31, 2015, 11am at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington at the convenience of the family.
