Dolores B. Kuch, well-known for her beautiful smile and zest for life, passed away on October 26, 2016 at home with her two daughters by her side.  She was 79 years old.  She was born in Little Ferry, NJ on April 18, 1937, the daughter of Charles R. Pisano and the former Lillian B. Vorisek.

Mrs. Kuch earned a bachelor’s degree in science for Music Education from SUNY, Potsdam in 1959.  She went on to earn a master’s degree in science in Education from Hunter College in New York, NY in 1963 and a master’s degree in science from the Graduate School of Education of Fordham University, in New York, NY in 1982. She was a general music educator in the Briarcliff Manor Public Schools, Briarcliff Manor, New York for nearly 35 years.  She had a lovely voice and brought her passion for musical theater into the lives of her many students through her production of Broadway shows and choral performances.

She also loved the New Jersey shore and spent many summers in Beach Haven, NJ with her husband of over 50 years, Joseph V. Kuch and their daughters.  When she retired in 1994 she was finally able to live full time by the beach. With energy to spare even in retirement, she purchased and operated Subs n’ Such for 12 years.
Mrs. Kuch is survived by her two daughters, Stacey Kuch of Beach Haven, NJ and Margaret Kuch and her two children Shane and Amanda Harkness, of Manahawkin, NJ.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Brant Beach, from 10 am until her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
