Catherine Maccio

Catherine Maccio (nee Gaetano), 85, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016 with her family by her side. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she lived in Colonia, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided since 2003. A loving, wife mother and grandmother, Catherine was a member of many senior clubs as well as a member of the Deborah Hospital Foundation.

She is predeceased by her husband Giovanni Maccio, her parents Gaetano and Mary Zadari Gaetano, her daughter Ginamarie Amsterdam, her brother and sister-in-law Dominick and Betty Gaetano, her brother Frank Gaetano, her sister Mamie Dorothy Grand and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Franco and Virginia Calcagno.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Rina Price and spouse Thomas, her son-in-law James Amsterdam, her brother Anthony Gaetano and spouse Sally, her grandchildren Kristen and spouse Kalyne, Edward and spouse Chelsea, and Brooke Lyne, her great grandchildren Hunter and Gunnar, her aunt Antoinette Kizima, her brother-in-law Barry Grand, her sister-in-law Diana Gaetano, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 2pm to 6pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, July 25, 10am at St. Mary’s of the Pines Church, Manahawkin. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
