Barbara Anne Novotny

Barbara Anne Novotny (nee Kingsbury), age 91, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at home.

Born April 26, 1934, in Meadville, PA, Barbara lived in Colonie, NY prior to Manahawkin where she resided since 1961. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a long-time parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Brant Beach, NJ.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Ernst Hempted Kingsbury and Rose Irene Brown Kingsbury, and her husband Louis Novotny Jr. in 1991.

She is survived by two daughters; Lori Novotny Hill and Leslie Flanagan & her husband Bob, her two sons, Bruce Novotny & his wife Nina and Jeff Novotny & his wife Britt, his sister Rosemary Kahn, her brother Richard Kingsbury & his wife Winnie, her ten grandchildren; Justin, Nicole, Matthew, Katelyn, Lyndsay, Amanda, Rebecca, Ky, Chell and Wren, her eight great grandchildren; Christopher, Nixen, Hayden, Hanna, Lucas, Julianna Joseph III and Claire, her many loving nieces & nephews, and her feline companion, Chi-Chi who she adored.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 2pm to 5pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 11am at St. Francis Of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08005. Interment will take place at a later date at Valley View Cemetery, Ticonderoga, NY.
