Arlene Hoffmann

Arlene T. Hoffmann (nee Nugent), age 74, of Manahawkin, passed away with her beloved husband by her side on Sunday, August 19, 2018.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, she lived in Manahawkin for the last 25 years. Arlene and John, a retired officer of the FDNY, especially enjoyed vacationing in Maui, Hawaii, over many years. She was an avid New York Giants fan and dog lover, especially Golden Retrievers.  She enjoyed membership at the Meridian Health Club Pool.

She is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Nugent.

Arlene is survived by her loving husband John, and would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, August 24th.  Also, her son John A. Hoffmann and his wife, Melanie, her daughter Kathy Holm and her husband Doug, and her daughter Sally Hoffmann, along with her sister Mary Lynn Forczek and her husband Ron, and her sister Ellen Amodio and her husband Paul, her sister-in-law Ellen Figura and her husband Steve. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Emma, Aidan, Matthew and Dylan, canine companion Willow, and many cherished extended family members, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 4pm to 8pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 24, 2018, 11am at St. Mary of the Pines Church, Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ. Cremation will be held privately.
