Arleen A. Bates

Arleen A. Bates, 85, of Beach Haven, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, with her family at her side.
 
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she lived in Montvale, NJ prior to Beach Haven. Prior to her retirement, Arleen worked as a Typesetter for TBC Corporation, Pearl River, NY. 

Arleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved the beach and doing family vacations. Arleen will be remembered when the flowers bloom in the spring and be remembered in the summer when you get a fresh smell of the salt air at the beach and will be remembered when fall brings the leaves of gold and be remembered in the winter in the stories that are told.
 
Arleen will be remembered each day right from the start.  For the memories that we once shared forever lives within our hearts.

Arleen is predeceased by her husband, James Raymond Bates Jr., her son Scot Bates and her brother Robert D. Macari.

She is survived by her three sons; James III, Bruce, and David Craig, her nine grandchildren; James IV, Dylan, Kolton, Madison, Alaia, Amais, Noah, Matthew and Alejandro and her great-granddaughter Gemma Rose.
 
 A Memorial Gathering will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm with a Memorial Service, beginning 7:30pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral home on 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Interment will take place Friday, March 8, 11:30am at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
