Ann Marie Sheridan, 59, formerly of Pearl River, NY, and New York City, NY, died unexpectedly of natural causes July 12, 2025.
Born in a wintry storm on January 19, 1966 to the late Peter F. and Josephine (Biggins) Sheridan, Ann was a source of warmth and light to all she encountered. Ann attended St. Margaret School in Pearl River, NY and Albertus Magnus High School, Bardonia, NY. An accomplished artist, student and athlete, Ann compiled a distinguished record at Cornell University, where she was a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Ann embarked on a first career in the printing production and publication industry in the New York City area, serving as production manager for several national magazines, and earning a Master of Business Administration at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
In 2009, Ann’s career and life took a dramatic turn, as she welcomed the birth of her beloved son, Tyler Steinbrunn, and set about building a career as a real estate professional in the Ocean County, NJ area. She was agent of the year 2023 and 2024 for the Berkshire Hathaway Zach Shore Realty firm. With characteristic grace, light and warmth, she built a wonderful life, and her dream home with Tyler at the center of her world.
Ann was involved in her community, volunteering her time and skills to help brighten the lives of many, most especially supporting young women through her leadership of the Soroptimist International Organization of Long Beach Island.
Predeceased by her loving parents, Ann is survived by her devoted son, Tyler Steinbrunn, siblings Peter T. Sheridan of Pearl River, NY, Thomas F. Sheridan (Vincent Walsh) of Washington, DC, Catherine Lawlor (John), of Bluffton, SC, and Maureen Sheridan of Nyack, NY. She was the cherished and esteemed “Aunt YaYa” to Jack, Cara and Colleen Lawlor, and is loved and missed by numerous cousins from Arizona to Ireland, as well as her Aunts Mary Ellen (Biggins) Desmond of Pearl River NY, Ann Sheridan of Coopersburg PA, and Ann Marie Biggins of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by her former husband Erich Steinbrunn of Manahawkin NJ; her steadfast partner, Clifford Coombs, and her canine companion, Wavy.
A memorial gathering will take place on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 10am until 12 noon at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
