Ann Marie Sheridan, age 59, of West Creek, NJ, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2025.
Born January 19, 1966 in Pearl River NY, she lived in New York City for many years and Long Beach Island prior to West Creek. Her education included St. Margaret’s School, Pearl River NY, Albertus Magnus High School, Bardonia NY, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornell University Ithaca NY , Class of 1988. She also earned her Master’s Degree in business administration from New York University Stern School of Business, Class of 2001.
Her career began in publishing and included senior positions at Emerge Magazine, Parenting Magazine and overall production director for Time Inc Magazines.
When she moved to Long Beach Island, she began her career in Real Estate. She was named Agent of the Year for Berkshire Hathaway Zach Shore Realty in 2023 and 2024. She is the immediate past President of the Soroptimist International, LBI chapter. She designed and built her dream home with her son Tyler in West Creek NJ where she enjoyed the views and boating with her companion of many years Clifford Coombs and her son.
Ann had many friends from all aspects of her life. She was a devoted and trusted friend to all. She is described by all who knew here as “vivacious, funny, kind, smart, sparkling”. She was an accomplished artist, loved music, the beach and a refreshing cocktail. She travelled the world, always appreciating the beauty and complexities of culture and experience – humbled by its awesome nature.
Ann is predeceased by her parents, Peter F Sheridan and Josephine (Biggins) Sheridan and her grandparents, Thomas and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Biggins (born in Co. Mayo Ireland) and Peter and Marcella (Mahedy) Sheridan (born in Co. Longford Ireland). She is survived by her devoted and cherished son, Tyler Victor Steinbrunn of West Creek NJ, her loving siblings: Peter T Sheridan of Montvale NJ, Thomas F Sheridan (Vince Walsh) of Lewes DE, Catherine A. Lawlor (John Lawlor) of Surf City NJ, and Maureen P. Sheridan of Nyack NY. She also leaves her companion Clifford Coombs of Cherry Hill NJ, her three surviving Aunts: Mary Ellen Desmond of Pearl River NY, Ann Sheridan of Coopersburg PA and Ann Marie Biggins of Overland Park, KS, her beloved nieces and nephews: John Sheridan Lawlor, Cara Mary Lawlor, and Colleen JoAnn Lawlor. She is a treasured cousin to sixteen first cousins; the Desmond’s of Pearl River, the Biggins of Kansas City, KS, the Biggins of Elmsford NY, and the Sheridan-McAndrews of Coopersburg PA. She also leaves behind her former spouses: Erich Steinbrunn of Manahawkin NJ and Ian Storer of Mountain View, CA.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Ann Sheridan Memorial Fund at Soroptimist International LBI.
At the convenience of the family, funeral services and burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ will be held privately.
